At the ITA World Tunnel Congress 2026 (WTC2026) in Montréal, VMT will showcase how modular, connected systems support increasingly complex and multidisciplinary tunnelling projects – from TBM tunnelling and segment production to Conventional Tunnelling. With automated surveying, digital workflows and quality control, we enable jobsite teams to improve safety, transparency and efficiency across the entire project.
Modular systems for modern tunnelling projects
As tunnelling projects grow in complexity, the interaction between different disciplines becomes more important. VMT supports this development with modular, connected systems that combine digitalisation with practical, jobsite-proven expertise. With its modular architecture, VMT enables customers to select exactly the tools that fit their needs — scalable, connected and ready to grow with every project. Integrated into Herrenknecht.Connected, project data from different areas can be brought together, visualised and analysed in real time, creating a transparent basis for informed decision-making.
Focus on Conventional Tunnelling and precast production
At WTC 2026, VMT will present new solutions for Conventional Tunnelling:
- CT.Connected, the app-based software module for real-time digital documentation of underground work cycles
- TUnIS Navigation Excavator, a navigation system for tunnel excavators, enabling more precise excavation with less rework through real-time visualisation
In addition, visitors can discover PrecastIQ, the cloud-based successor to SDS for flexible precast documentation and workflow management. The system will see its first live deployment starting in August this year on a major tunnel project in Germany.
