Spotlight on innovation: TunnelHub presentation at Project Dialogue Microtunnelling 2025

A successful event meets a powerful new product: TunnelHub took centre stage at this year’s Project Dialogue, showcasing how digital connectivity can make microtunnelling safer and more efficient.

When experience meets curiosity, great ideas emerge. That was once again evident at the 16th edition of the Project Dialogue Microtunnelling, where industry pioneers and emerging talents gathered to exchange knowledge and inspiration. The long-standing event, held in in Ettlingen near the VMT headquarters, has become a key meeting point for the trenchless community. This year, it offered the perfect stage for a new solution: TunnelHub, the new communication and monitoring platform for microtunnelling.
The system combines uninterrupted Wi-Fi coverage with real-time data transfer and smart safety features, setting new standards for connected construction. With access points every 50 metres, TunnelHub ensures reliable digital infrastructure even in confined tunnel environments, improving coordination and enhancing safety.

During a joint presentation and live installation, Jackcontrol and VMT gave participants a first-hand look at how TunnelHub works in practice. The system’s plug-and-play installation, integrated personnel tracking and optional lighting showed attendees the way towards smarter microtunnelling workflows.

Beyond the technical insights, the event once again demonstrated the value of open dialogue and collaboration across the industry. Six practical presentations, countless discussions and one shared goal: advancing trenchless technologies together.
VMT thanks all participants and partners for their contributions – and looks forward to continuing the conversation, both onsite and online.
